Main Interface Components

Menu and Toolbar

The top of the application features a standard Windows menu bar with File, Edit, View, Reports, Tools, Partner, and Help options. Below this sits a toolbar providing quick access to commonly used commands.

Solution Explorer

Located on the left side, the Solution Explorer displays all top-level objects in a hierarchical tree structure, including:

• Semantic Models for business logic
• Modern Data Warehouse (MDW) components
• Business Units for data source management
• Project tags and execution settings

Navigation Tabs

The central workspace uses a tabbed interface that allows you to:

• Open multiple objects simultaneously
• Drag and drop tables and fields between tab groups
• Rearrange tabs within and between groups
• Preserve tab layouts between sessions

Configuration Pane

The right side of the interface contains configuration options specific to the selected object, such as data selection and field validation settings.

Status Information

The status bar at the bottom of the window provides crucial information:

• Project name and version number
• Repository server and database details
• Current environment settings
• License information

Easily Drag and Drop tables to map and create data pipelines:

Go to Source functionality enables quick navigation between related objects by:

• Tracking table and field lineage
• Opening source objects in new tab groups

The interface supports customization through color themes and view options, allowing users to optimize their working environment while maintaining clear visual distinction between different TimeXtender installations.
